Thanks for your brutal honesty. I was on similar trajectory and a champion of bull market madness. Looking back every paranoia saved my ass and every hubris about a particular project turned into a failed attempt to convert. Precious lessons all the same and fingers crossed I shall not repeating the mistakes again. “The greatest safety lies in putting all your eggs in one basket and watching the basket… " comment was repeated by Druckmiller in his recent interview with Collison(must view). On balance sizing also saved my sorry ass. The 'experimental failures' took less than 30% of total portfolio but 90% of daily bandwidth. Yet another madness that should have be stamped out upon observation. Whilst recognising your mistakes as mine and vow not to repeat the mistakes again, I would argue that wouldn't have learnt the lesson by reading this alone. Practicing was part and parcel of the journey. Like a baby going after the electric socket, only when intense visceral pain is felt does one understand the value in the lesson. Thank you again for sharing this, as well as all other fantastic insight re gaming and tokenomics. We are lucky to have you shedding light on your journey.

Haha I feel like you wrote this about me, it was amazingly accurate. My conviction in the tech and long-term investment mindset kept me from taking profits on great plays. All of it landed me a job in the industry and I just couldn't be more grateful. Fun to read such a similar experience!

This kind of honesty is so wholesome and refreshing in this space. Very much appreciate your writing. I feel like I was right there with you through most of these plays. Still holding that TOKE I bought at $20-30, too. Good team, good product, and... good lessons, too.

I made every one of these mistakes this last cycle. Thanks for your honesty and sharing this.

Thanks for sharing, and you're right, how do you put a price on things you have learnt?

Maybe a lesson from this past year will save you on a much larger scale over the coming years, or maybe you will see investing through a slightly different lense now which will work out in the long-term...
